The Water God’s Daughter

Written by Pa N. Vue

Vincent Xiong is a 24-year-old working at a dead-end job in a small town. When he discovers a strange girl in one of his cousin's basement, he helps her escape without realizing that she is Zuag Paj, daughter of the Water God. In this retelling of the Hmong folktale Txiv Nraug Ntsuag & Niam Nkauj Zuag Paj, released as blog posts with alternating perspectives, a young man becomes embroiled in an epic fight for a throne in a land far far away and discovers who he really is and what he is truly capable of.
